I love talking. I love talking to my husband, my family, friends, co-workers, the checkout person at the grocery store, the sales girl in the fitting rooms at Forever 21, the person standing behind me in line to get lunch...I even have this blog to talk to no one and everyone at the same time! Yet after 30 some years of talking and talking I haven't had a meaningful conversation until now.
Don't get me wrong, I've had GREAT converstations in my life--unforgettable ones that to this day I can remember word for word, funny ones that make me smile when I remember them, heartbreaking ones that remind me how much I've grown, but none of them have been as fulfilling as the conversation I had the other day....
I was sitting on the couch with my 4 month old son on my lap, looking at right at me with his gummy smile, and for about 10 minutes we sat there saying "oooo", "ahhh", and "hmmm" to each other and cracking up! It was the funniest, easiest, most touching conversation I've ever had with someone! I will always remember this conversation as the best conversation of my life!
